I attended Northern Illinois University where I received a bachelors degree in computer science and a mobile programming certificate for iOS and Android devices
I also have an associates degree in art from Joliet Junior College.
While attending JJC I studied abroad in Japan for a summer, and in doing so I found my passion for programming. I met some students there that gave me the idea to pursue my dreams, and now here I am.
C++ : I am most knowledgeable with this language as it is the first one we work with at NIU. I appreciate C++ because it taught me how important object oriented programming is.
Swift : I fell in love with Swift as it was the first language that allowed me create applications that I could interact with on my mobile device.
Assembler : Even with all the hate that is spoken about Assembler I went into learning about this ancient (in a good way) language with an open mind. I feel that Assembler should be taught in more schools because it truly is not going anywhere.
SQL : Using MariaDB I was able to use premade databases and create my own for multiple projects during my time at NIU. An example of an SQL database can be seen in either my quote system or electronic store website found below.
Java : At NIU we learned how to code Android applications in Java. Some would argue that Kotlin would be better but I think since Java is used in a much larger scale it was a great learning opportunity.
